State hunting farm "Voden -Iri Hissar" took part in the exhibition of red deer trophies, which were acquired in the season 2018, which was organized by the North Central State Enterprise DS Gabrovo, on the territory of Rositsa State Forestry in the area of Lagat.
At the exhibition were presented 40 trophies presented by a total of 15 hunting and forestry farms, which fall within the territorial scope of 4 state forest enterprises. The event is attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Atanas Dobrev, Mayor of Sevlievo Dr. Ivan Ivanov, the Director of the SCDP and Host Eng. Tsvetelin Milanov and Assoc. Prof. Hristo Mihaylov, Head of the Hunting Department at the University of Forestry. Among the guests were also the director of the Hunting Directorate of the IAG, Miroslav Juparov, the directors of the Northeastern State Enterprise Eng. Veselin Ninov, of the Regional Directorate - Veliko Tarnovo Eng. Nikolay Nikolov, on hunting and forestry holdings of several state enterprises.
The heaviest trophy of the exhibition was produced on the territory of the DLS Ruse - 12,000 kg (224,65 CIC points).
The trophy with the highest rating was obtained at the Palamara SS - 232.16 CIC points (weighing 11,210 kg).
State Hunting Farm "Voden-Iri Hisar" has been awarded with a trophy from the oldest deer of the exhibition - 14 years.
For a second consecutive year, a large portion of the trophies presented at this exhibition are in advance evaluated by the age of the most recent Method of Cross Cutting of a Molar to determine the age of the annual marks of the dental cement under a microscope. The method is new for Bulgaria and has been introduced in connection with a project on "Population research, migration and state of the red deer stocks in Bulgaria".
